POSITION TITLE: Assembly Operator
DEPARTMENT: Production
REPORTS TO: Team Leader
General Summary: Assembles case good products using glue press/electric and air tools.
Essential Job Requirements:
- Ability to read and follow written work orders
- Follow detailed instructions for assembly
- Follow general safety rules
- Assemble case goods, sand, and finish
- Maintain daily log of activities performed
- Heavy lifting
- Cleaning and maintaining cleanliness of production area
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must be able to lift approximately 75 lbs.
- Previous experience with electric and air tools
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and quality standards
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Coordinate various activities as assigned
Education and Experience: High school graduate or equivalent, plus 6 months verifiable work experience. Must have experience that correlates with above stated knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Physical Requirements: Ability to see and hear (well enough to communicate with coworkers). Physically stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, lift, pull, and push as required to carry out job functions. Heavy work: lift up to 75 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
